Ponder’s location between Wendell and Zebulon means there’s more to do, times two. Because each town offers plenty of ways to spend your days — from parks and parades to craft beer and local boutiques. And while you’re there, you’ll also be able to experience a couple of the best things about small towns: a slower pace of life and a very strong sense of community.

Wendell goes way back. (Like way, way back.) All the way to 1850, when tobacco growers started farming the land. Fast-forward to now, and you’ll find hints of the past mixed with present-day conveniences. Just travel down Main Street and through downtown, and you’ll see restaurants fit for foodies, fun festivals, seasonal celebrations, breweries and boutiques (with more arriving all the time). No wonder it’s one of Wake County’s fastest-growing towns.
More About Wendell
Like Wendell, the town of Zebulon is one of the fastest-growing towns in North Carolina. We think we know why. For starters, it’s been referred to as “‘the town of friendly people.” Then there are the parks, the championship disc golf course, eateries, a distillery, unique shops and more. (Need a bagpipe? Zebulon is home to the only manufacturer of them in North America.) And while it may be on the smaller side, it offers up big-time charm. You’ll see.
