Zebulon Community Park
This park is fun for the whole family! Zebulon Community Park spans almost 5 acres and offers plenty to do, from baseball fields and basketball courts to a 0.7-mile walking loop and a disc golf course. For the little ones, there are plenty of play opportunities in the form of two playgrounds and swings. And for those looking to enjoy an alfresco gathering or meal, an on-site picnic shelter offers the perfect spot.
Wendell Park
Ponder’s location between Wendell and Zebulon gives you the best of both worlds, and the largest public park in Wendell is a must-visit. Packed with athletic fields and courts, Wendell Park truly has something for everyone.
Whitley Park
Whitley Park is a hidden gem in the town of Zebulon. The park features two playgrounds with engaging equipment, a tennis court and a picnic shelter. Public restrooms are available, and dogs are welcome, making it easy to stay and play awhile.
Robertson Millpond Preserve
If you love fishing or paddle sports, this is the place for you. Located in eastern Wake County, Robertson Millpond Preserve features walking and hiking trails, picnic areas and a boat launch for paddleboards, kayaks and canoes to explore the 1.15-mile paddling trail.
Neuse River Greenway
Just down the road from Ponder is an access point to the Neuse River Greenway. This 27.5-mile greenway is a segment of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail, which stretches across North Carolina from the Great Smoky Mountains to the Outer Banks! How far will the Neuse River Greenway take you?
