There’s something special about time spent outdoors. Study after study shows that it’s linked to better health (the physical, mental and emotional kinds). It can reduce stress, strengthen the immune system — even help promote better sleep. No wonder that now more than ever, people are recognizing the need to unplug and reconnect with each other and the world around them.

At Ponder, we want the place people call home to be a place where it’s easy to recharge. After all, our surroundings happen to be the perfect antidote to overstimulation. With towering pines, winding trails and a lake that brings people together, you could say that nature is the hero here.

Our signature lake sits at the center of our community — and will be a tranquil lure for canoers, kayakers and paddleboarders, along with those who prefer meditating on the dock, reading a book on the shore, or fine-tuning their photography skills (the painted box turtles make for great models). And the dry land will offer just as much to do, with pocket parks and playgrounds uniquely and intentionally designed for where they sit (and who will use them). Connecting all these special spaces will be a trail network that makes getting from point A to point B another way to experience the great outdoors.
